Everyday the world of the web changes to make our digital lives, for better or worst, a different place to live. I try to make things easy on myself and ask for help when I need it most. And sometimes that help is just a click away. There are many web apps I use to simplify daily task. Many of them I have mentioned in this blog. Here are a few I use daily that standout from the crowd.

A Good Business Summit
Recently, I attended a very good small business conference in New York City. The event was sponsored by The New York Times and American Express Open to help small business owners gain a bit of knowledge about running a business day to day. Normally, I attend consumer electronic events, but this conference entitled NYTimes Small BizSummit made me realize the value in listening to business owners tell stories not only about the technology behind a business, but the human and social elements that often get ignored. Words of wisdom and frequent laughs came from Robin Chase, CEO ZipCar, Lisa Price, Founder of Carol's Daughter and Jerry Greenfield, Co-Founder Ben & Jerry's Homemade, Inc.
There were two things I took away from this summit. One, listening is a powerful tool few people have mastered. And second, sometimes it doesn't take a lot of technology to get your message across. The organizers made it simple and easy to get the information you wanted, no mobile device or website required!
